Police have cordoned off a street in Maldon this afternoon.A number of police cars along with an ambulance and paramedic response car are in Fambridge Close.A police cordon is also in place. It is not yet known what the incident is.More to follow.

A motorcyclist was taken to hospital after a crash on the A12 near Chelmsford. The biker, a man in his 20s, crashed on Sunday (February 28) at around 11.15pm at Boreham. The East of England Ambulance Service sent a rapid response vehicle, ambulance crew and ambulance officer to the scene.The man was found to have a knee injury and was taken to Broomfield Hospital for further treatment.His injuries are not believed to be serious.
